The Spring Competitive League is designed to expose youth soccer players to the highest level of play in Montana. Teams that are formed across the state battle it out to claim the number 1 spot in their age group. Montana Youth Soccer Association provides competitive leagues in U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U16, & U18 age groups, for both boys and girls. The Spring Competitive league begins in April & ends with the end of season State Tournaments in June.
Training is designed and managed through individual clubs and coaches, which usually starts in Jan or Feb to prepare for the Spring season. Games are played on Saturdays across the state. Spring Competitive scheduling is conducted through the State Scheduling meeting, which bring together all club representatives for one weekend to schedule hundreds of teams throughout the Spring. The Spring league is composed of 3 different levels of play: Premier, Select, & Classic. These three levels are designed to give everyone, regardless of talent level, a chance to play a competitive match. With such a disparity of population between small & big Montana towns, it's inevitable that there will be higher and lower level teams. Our goal as MYSA is to provide every soccer player in the state an opportunity to have fun, develop and find some level of success. It's essential that MYSA and all of our member clubs keep an open line of communication and we get feedback on league structure in our ever changing soccer environment.
