The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

Become a Referee

US Soccer Grassroots Referee Course
The Grassroots Referee Course is specific to the competitive youth game. This is an entry-level course for new referees. This course consists of online modules in the US Soccer Learning Center that must be completed by the candidate prior to the in-person or online video classroom and field session. (Due to COVID-19, temporary class hours and formats have been modified.)

Montana Youth Soccer member clubs are encouraged to contact State Director of Instruction (SDI) Jack Dockery about organizing and hosting referee courses. Clubs must submit the Grassroots Referee Course Request Form before they can host a course.

Visit the Montana Soccer Referee Committee at to find a class near you or email if you have any questions about becoming a referee.
