Sub-Programs Overview
Junior Academy
Birth Years: The Montana ODP Junior Academy will be available for players born 2013 through 2015 and new this year-training only for the 2016’s All players 2015 and older will have a 2-day tryout. The 2015’s and 2016’s will only attend the Small State Friendly event in Helena and all in State trainings.
Structure: Players will enjoy a development focused program through one training weekend a month along with various events during the season, all with some of the best club and college coaches in Montana.
Placement: Players will be selected for the ODP player pools for their respective age groups after the Tryout Camp is complete. Not all players are guaranteed a spot in Montana ODP, which will be based on their tryout evaluation(s). Each age group will consist of a pool of players that will be selected. From within that pool of players, a team will be selected to attend events.

Senior Academy
Birth Years: The Montana ODP Senior Academy will be available for players born 2008 through 2012. *Interested 2013 Birth Year Sophomores can contact ODP Director for Information. All players 2012 and older will have a 1-day tryout.
Structure: The Seniors are structured differently from the Juniors. Beyond just focusing on player development, the program will provide players with increased soccer opportunities outside of Montana. Player Pools will attend Showcase events throughout the West in an effort to increase their exposure to college coaches and chances to play beyond youth soccer, all alongside the best players from Montana.
Placement: Players will be notified if they made the final player pool after the Tryout Event is complete.
Tryout events July/August 2026
Montana ODP coaches will evaluate each participating player based on a variety of on-field areas. At the conclusion of tryouts, players will be notified whether they have made the ODP player pool for their age group. Not all players are guaranteed a spot in Montana ODP, which will be based on their evaluation(s).
At the conclusion of tryouts, players will be selected to participate on the final Senior Academy player pool for each age group. Not all players are guaranteed a spot in the pool, which will be based on their evaluation(s).
Season Schedules
Junior Academy
Montana ODP player pools will each train one Sunday per month, with two sessions through October. In November Montana ODP player pools will train on Saturday and Sunday. Training will begin in August and conclude in February. The Event schedule for ODP Juniors will be posted on the website.
Senior Academy
The Montana ODP Senior Academy schedule will not start until the conclusion of the high school soccer season. Training will begin in early November, and on average, the ODP Seniors will train once a month through February, with two sessions on Saturday and one session on Sunday. Between November and March, and depending on the availability of each Senior age group, Montana ODP will aim to send teams to one out-of-state Showcase or ID event after the ODP Championships.
